Transmitter
The transmitter consists of a high-performance 1550nm MQW FP structure laser housed in an optical module (OSA) in a metal package. In addition, according to the international safety standard IEC-825, the component also in compliance with the 1st grade in optical maser.
Compliance with EN60825-1, FDA 21 CFR 1040.10 and 1040.11
Receiver
The receiver contains an InGaAs PIN photodiode coupled to a high sensitivity transresistance amplifier (TIA) in the OSA. This OSA combination is matched with a post amplifier IC that provides post amplification and an SD (signal detection) or LOS (signal loss) indicating circuit, which provides logical high state output when an unavailable input optical signal is detected.
